Dia de los Vagabundos
October 23, 8:00-9:00 PM: Virtual broadcast of Dia de los Vagabundos. This program honors the anniversary of Kerouac’s passing with a poetry “ofrenda” to our literary ancestors, with performances recorded at The Studio at 620 and Flamingo Bar.
Kerouac Book Club – Satori in Paris
October 18, 7:30-8:30 PM: In concert with Wordier Than Thou’s Wordplay Festival (October 15-18), the Friends will launch their Kerouac Book Club with a discussion of Satori in Paris, a novella recounting Kerouac’s trip to Paris and Brittany to explore his family’s history.
